Terms & Conditions

These terms outline how we work together — setting clear expectations so every project runs smoothly from start to finish.

Agreement

By engaging LeBlanc Contracting for any service — including estimates, consultations, or contracted work — you agree to the following terms. These terms apply to all residential and commercial projects in the Charleston, SC area.

Estimates & proposals

All written estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Estimates are based on the scope of work described at the time of assessment. Changes to scope, materials, or site conditions may result in revised pricing. Verbal estimates are not binding.

Project scope & changes

Any changes to the agreed scope of work must be documented in writing via a change order before work proceeds. LeBlanc Contracting reserves the right to pause work if additional scope is identified that has not been approved. We are not responsible for delays or cost increases resulting from undisclosed conditions, permit requirements, or client-initiated changes.

Payment terms

Payment schedules are outlined in each project agreement. Unless otherwise specified:

  • A deposit may be required before work begins
  • Progress payments may be due at agreed milestones
  • Final payment is due upon project completion

Overdue balances beyond 15 days may be subject to a late fee. LeBlanc Contracting reserves the right to place a mechanics’ lien on the property if payment is not received in accordance with South Carolina law.

Client responsibilities

The client agrees to:

  • Provide clear and safe access to the work area
  • Disclose any known issues with the property (utilities, structural concerns, hazardous materials)
  • Secure permits when required unless otherwise agreed in writing
  • Make timely decisions and approvals to avoid project delays

Workmanship warranty

LeBlanc Contracting stands behind our work. We offer a one-year workmanship warranty on completed projects unless otherwise stated. This warranty covers defects in our labor and does not apply to manufacturer defects, damage caused by the client or third parties, or normal wear and tear. Material warranties are subject to individual manufacturer terms.

Liability

LeBlanc Contracting carries general liability insurance. We are not liable for pre-existing conditions, damage caused by client-selected materials, or consequential damages beyond the contracted scope. Our total liability is limited to the value of the contracted project.

Cancellation

If a project is cancelled after work has begun, the client is responsible for payment for all work completed to date plus any materials purchased or ordered. Deposits are non-refundable once materials have been sourced or scheduling has been confirmed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina. Any disputes shall be resolved in Charleston County, SC.
